Val Grande: a natural oasis

On Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, 2026, the Val Grande Nature Reserve in Bibione opens its doors with free admission for an entire weekend dedicated to nature, outdoor activities and discovering the local area.

It’s a great opportunity to immerse yourself in Bibione’s natural surroundings and discover the biodiversity of its lagoon, with a rich programme of outdoor activities for adults, families and children.

Guided walks, cycling and kayaking excursions, activities for children and a tasting of local honey will accompany visitors as they explore one of the most fascinating natural areas around Bibione.

 

Where is the Val Grande Nature Reserve

The reserve is located at Via Baseleghe 2, Bibione, at the entrance to the nature reserve, behind the Havana restaurant.

 

Weekend programme

Saturday, October 10 – free admission to the reserve

8:30 am – Bike & birdwatching
Cycling and birdwatching excursion from Val Grande to the Terzo Bacino reclamation area.
Duration: 2.5 hours
Cost: €10
Own bicycle required – advance booking required.

10:00 am – Local and handmade products market
Opening of the stalls at the entrance to the reserve.

3:00 pm – Guided walk with a park ranger
A guided walk to discover the natural environment and biodiversity of Val Grande.
Duration: 1.5 hours
Free of charge – advance booking required.

3:00 pm – Kayaking along the Litoranea Veneta
A guided kayaking excursion to discover the landscape and waterways of the area.
Duration: 2.5 hours
Cost: €35, including kayak rental and guide

Sunday, October 11 – free admission to the reserve

10:00 am – Val Grande bike tour
A cycling excursion to explore the reserve and its natural landscapes.
Duration: 2 hours
Free of charge with your own bicycle – advance booking required.

10:00 am – Guided walk with a park ranger
A guided walk to discover the natural environment and learn more about Val Grande.
Duration: 1.5 hours

10:00 am – Children’s workshop
An activity for children aged 6 and over, designed to discover nature through play and exploration.

3:00 pm – Guided walk with a park ranger
