The Villaggio Turistico Internazionale joins the Project of Touristic Excellence for the development of the Social and Accessible Tourism (Progetto di Eccellenza Turistica – Sviluppo del Turismo Sociale e Accessibile) that consists in realizing a network able to meet the needs of all the stakeholders dealing with tourism.
Thanks to this project the VTI has achieved the Village for all Certification - V4A® International Quality Brand for Accessible Hospitality.
The description here below is the final outcome of the V4AInside survey, a patented technology that uses a methodology approved and recognized by Associations that grants a punctual, precise and reliable information.
The Brand V4A® is a guarantee of continuous improvement of facilities and services and also of staff training.
The Villaggio Turistico Internazionale spread over a wide area mostly flat. The main road of Bibione divides it in two areas that we will call “Sea Area” and “Village Area”. The first is mostly dedicated to pitches for camping and the greater part of mobile homes. The second one devoted to different types of chalets and villas.
Near the main Reception you will find a residential complex that consists of many apartments. At the entrance of the building is a ramp for wheelchair access with a gradient of 13%. The several floors are connected by elevators (90x119x140 mt.) with a normal push button panel.
Guests services are located in different places around the village, all are reachable thanks to internal paths made of concrete slabs with a max gradient of 11%. There is the possibility to request and use these aids: n. 3 beach wheelchairs and n. 1 lift for the pool.
At the main entrance, on one side you will find the Reception, with a counter 72 cm high, and the Internet Cafè with breakfast room. Both can be reached through a ramp for wheelchair access with a gradient of 11% that overcomes a step 9 cm high. On the left side, following another ramp with a gradient of 4%, are the Bazar and the Supermarket (it sells also food for celiac and allergic people).
The toilet facilities at the Internet Café have a floor-standing WC, 48 cm high - frontal and right approach – grab bars on both sides.
Swimming pools - one is Olympic and heated, with slides, and one has hydro-massage. Both are reachable thanks to ramps in terracotta with maximum gradient of 9%. The water park has an infinity pool, is furnished with sun beds and parasols. All the pools have an access for strollers or wheelchairs.
From June 2016 the Village is provided of a new attraction: the wellness&relax area, with three split-level infinity pools provided of all kind of hydro-massages and effervescent beach.
In this area, there is the Bibo's Grill bar and a bathroom equipped for disabled people, which has a floor-standing WC with a front opening, 50 cm high, that can be approached from the right and grab bars on both sides; there is also a roll-in shower with a foldable seat and grab bars.
The Pizzeria Restaurant "Al Mare" can be reached via a 5 cm step or via a ramp with a handrail and an 8% slope. It is furnished with square tables that have a central leg with feet that branch out and 74 cm of space underneath. Upon request, specific menus can be prepared in the kitchen for celiacs, children, vegetarians and people with food allergies.
The public promenade is a flat path, paved with concrete paving stones and can be reached via paths that have a 9% slope. From here, you can get to the beach, where the concrete walkways are both vertical and horizontal to the sea and reach some of the beach umbrella areas.
In the beach area, there is a kiosk bar, a children’s play area with a sand surface that is surrounded by a fence, while the bathroom equipped for disabled people can be reached via a 5 cm step; it has a floor-standing WC, 43 cm high, that can be approached from the front and from the right, with grab bars on both sides; there is a roll-in shower with a removable seat, grab bars and a folding baby changing table.
The toilet facilities that have bathrooms equipped and reserved for disabled people are located in roads 6, 15, 19 and 24 and can be reached via ramps with a maximum 23% slope; all have a floor-standing WC with a front opening, a hand shower and grab bars on both sides; they have wall-mounted washbasins and a roll-in shower with a foldable seat and a grab bar.
The parking area is paved with concrete paving stones and there is 1 parking space reserved for people in possession of a European Disabled Parking Permit.
The multipurpose sports field has a synthetic grass surface, while the children's play area has a grass and sand surface; next to it, there is a bathroom equipped for disabled people that has a WC with a front opening, 48 cm high, and can be approached from the front and from the left, plus a hand shower and grab bars on both sides; there is also a roll-in shower with a foldable seat and grab bars.
The laundry-room has a front-loading washing machine with push-button panel at a height of 80 cm from the floor.
The Cinema and Disco are very large spaces accessible via a 4 cm step.
The Ristorante al Villaggio is a certified AIC (Italian Celiac Association) restaurant; it is furnished with square tables that have a central leg and 74 cm of space underneath and, upon request, the kitchen is also able to prepare menus for children, vegetarians, vegans and people with food intolerances.
The toilet facilities block of the Village also has a bathroom equipped for disabled people, furnished with a wall-mounted WC that can be approached from the left and has grab bars on both sides; there is a roll-in shower with a foldable seat and grab bars.
There are 418 accommodation units available and 6 of these are most functional for the disabled: apartment no. 325, “Anna plus” Cottages no.s 91, 101 and 103, which are all identical, and no.s 90 and 105, which mirror each other.
