The Blue Flag
A clean sea, satisfactory services according to the standards, and environmental protection. All this is guaranteed in Bibione, and officially acknowledged with the awarding of the blue flag. 

The Blue Flag was founded in 1987 by FEE a no profit organisation committed in environmental protection aiming at the evaluation of those areas where natural resources are protected. 

Bibione deserved the Blu Flag in the last 15 years. This is a clear evidence of a continuous commitment in preserving the environment, in order to offer to its guests an unique beach. 

And this year the Blue Flag waves on the VTI beach!

We are proud to bring you the news that in 2010 the Italian body of the FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education) awarded the Villaggio Turistico Internazionale beach resort the Special 2010 Blue Flag Beach Resort Prize. The body gave the following reason for the award: "For the quality of services and care given to the environmental management of the resort".

Not everybody knows that, as well as beaches, beach resorts can also receive the Blue Flag; the recognition that the Foundation for Environmental Education gives to the most deserving sites in terms of environmental protection and eco-sustainable tourism.


The award that is given to beach resorts is always a Blue Flag Programme prize and is a commendation for the results achieved by the management of the resort in relation to environmental sustainability. The award is granted according to the good practice guidelines set by the FEE itself.   
 
The 2010 Blue Flag is a prize that honours us and praises the work carried out in recent years, respecting the environmental setting where we find ourselves at all times in and trying to preserve its integrity and absolute beauty. 

A total of seven resorts in the whole of Italy have achieved this recognition.
